Our Mission

The guide map is more than just paper—it’s a historical artifact. It captures a snapshot in time: which attractions were open, how the lands were themed, and what was being promoted. Our mission is threefold:

1. Historical Preservation: To create a permanent, publicly accessible digital record of every printed guide map, Times Guide, and insert distributed at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
2. Collector Resource: To provide a comprehensive, organized reference for collectors, historians, and enthusiasts looking to date, identify, or study maps from any era.
3. Appreciation of Imagineering: To celebrate the evolution of park design, cartography, and guest experience as documented by the maps’ highly stylized and unique artwork.

Our archive covers maps spanning from the park’s earliest days from 1955 right up to the present day, including:

• Disneyland Park Maps: The full chronological evolution of the original park’s maps.
• DCA Guide Maps: The archive tracking the transformation of Disney California Adventure, from its opening in 2001 to its major redevelopment in 2012 and beyond.
• Times Guides & Inserts: Historical supporting documents that detail show schedules, character greetings, and special events.
